ABUJA – The Ohanaeze Ndigbo FCT Chapter has expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing one of its distinguished members, Hon. Chief Mrs. Ginika Florence Tor, as a Member of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC).
Speaking on Thursday in Abuja, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo FCT Chapter, Hon. Chief Andrew Ugwu, described the appointment as well-deserved and a recognition of Hon. Ginika Tor’s years of dedicated service, leadership, and contributions to national development.
Chief Ugwu thanked President Tinubu for finding an Igbo daughter worthy of such an important national assignment, noting that the appointment demonstrates the administration’s commitment to inclusiveness and the recognition of competence, irrespective of ethnic or regional backgrounds.
He said the appointment had been received with great excitement by members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo FCT Chapter, who view it as a source of pride not only for the Chapter but also for the entire Igbo community.
According to him, the gesture will further strengthen the relationship between Ndigbo, particularly those in the Federal Capital Territory, and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We sincerely appreciate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for this thoughtful appointment. Hon. Chief Mrs. Ginika Tor has consistently distinguished herself through exemplary leadership and service, and we have every confidence that she will justify the trust reposed in her.

We believe it will further deepen the cordial relationship between the Igbo community, especially in the FCT, and the Federal Government,” Chief Ugwu said.
The Ohanaeze President also congratulated Hon. Ginika Tor on behalf of the Executive Council and members of the Chapter, describing her appointment as an inspiration to women, young professionals, and community leaders who aspire to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
