The 9th edition of the annual Women 4 Africa Awards held on the 13th of May, 2023 at the prestigious Leonardo Royal Hotel in St Pauls, London.

It was a night of recognition and celebration for African women who have made a lasting contribution to their communities and countries.

The ceremony was hosted by HRH Princess Deun Solarin and was attended by influential figures from the local and international African diaspora. During the ceremony, awards were presented to African women in the fields of business, humanitarian, education, media, finance and more.

The event was attended by celebrities and dignitaries from around the world including keynote speaker on the night Nomfundo Mcoyi, who flew in from South Africa. Guests were welcomed to the red carpet during a champagne reception with live music. Beauty and fashion was a highlight of the night, with this years’ theme celebrating African Queens.

The annual Women 4 Africa Awards was established in 2011 by founders Sam & Mrs Tola aka Wisetola Onigbanjo, and continues to be a platform for African women to share their stories and be celebrated for their successes. The night ended with a special announcement by Ricardo Simms, Managing Partner at Flock Formation Group; that the first Women4Africa Leadership & Empowerment networking reception would take place at the United Nations General Assembly. In partnership with the Flock Formation Group, this will be an intimate session with Women leaders from around the World focused on the Africa agenda and the solutions that Women can provide to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
