Sandra Natachi Okeke, born July 29, 1994, better known as SOFIT, is a well-known Nigerian fitness trainer and fitness model. She is well-known for her Instagram workout videos, as well as her popular online workout programs and Sweat To The Beat classes. She was born in Aba, Abia State Nigeria and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Sandra launched her fitness brand in 2017 and now has over one million followers across her social platforms. She has become the first fitness influencer in Nigeria to work with some of the biggest international fitness brands such as BPI sports, Ryderwear, BoandTee and Womensbest!
Early Life and Education
Sandra was born Sandra Natachi Okeke. She is a talented fitness influencer. She was born in Aba, Abia state and is from Imo State. She spent 5 years in Nigeria before moving to America with her family in 1999 at the age of 5. After completing nursery school she attended Heritage Elementary School from 2001-2005.
She then attended a private, Charter middle school called KIPP South Fulton Academy. At age 14 she attended Riverwood high-school and at 16, moved back to Nigeria where she later graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University at aged 23 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language.
Originally wanting to become a fashion designer and even applying to fashion schools in London and Canada, she began going to the gym and loved it. She began with a YouTube channel and a blog, in early 2017 before starting an Instagram account where she shared her fitness journey. This gained her a lot of attention, which inspired her to start her own fitness brand, SOFIT. Short for Sandra Okeke Fitness.
Having trained and worked with many celebrities such as Seyi Shay, Wizkid, Tekno, Laura Ikeji, Waje, Paul Okoye (P-square), Falz just to name a few, she retired from personal training and focused fully on online coaching.
She has appeared on many episodes of MTV Base’s “Fit fam” with host, Ehiz. She has also appeared on her own fitness show partnered with Fashion One Tv titled, Be Fit.
Currently, she is the most followed fitness trainer and fitness influencer in Africa.
